Spend a summer Saturday alongside Horsethief Lake to celebrate my 1 year lay-off anniversary! Yes, July 11, 2025 was when I heard the devastating news and was laid off from my "dream job" 30 minutes into my work day. Everything was gone when the meeting ended. No email access, no communications - just ghosted. I looked around at my one-bedroom apartment in Tacoma that I earned with my now absent salary and immediately panicked, no longer seeing a comfortable home but everything I was about to lose. One year later, and I'm happy and grateful to be in the position I'm in with Minerva Media. And that's because of you. Whether you are a paying client, someone I've traded with, a friend, family member, or someone who supports my work, you helped me see a light at the end of the tunnel. So, as much as this celebration is for my lay-off, it's also for you - for keeping me grounded in chaos and for giving me a creative purpose outside of the corporate world.
